For the sweetest product the Lake George Area has to offer, sample the season’s bounty of maple syrup at Thurman Maple Days. Held for three weekends every March, Thurman Maple Days invites syrup lovers to taste maple products, learn about the syrup process, and indulge in a pancake breakfast. If you can’t make it in March, many of the farms are open periodically for farm tours, where you can explore their sugar bush and sugarhouses.

Nettle Meadow Farm and Artisan Cheese

Happy goats. Great cheese! Nettle Meadow Farm is a 50-acre goat and sheep farm and and award-winning cheese company. Home to over 300 goats, several dozen sheep. Nettle Meadow is committed to the principals of natural ingredients, happy and healthy animals, and carefully hand-crafted artisan cheeses.

Martin's Tree Farm and Sawmill

Martin's Tree Farm and Sawmill is full of family fun! Martin's is a certified tree farm practicing silviculture to promote sustainable forestry management. There are woods walks, sawmill demonstrations, and there's more to do when you visit. There is a timber frame barn and gift items available. In June there is the annual Guided Woods Walk - learn about silviculture, and what a tree farm is used for.

Blackberry Hill Farm

Taste Adirondack goodness at Mud St. Maple! Mud St. Maple is a maple sugaring farm in Athol that produces a variety of maple products. Their 27 acre sugarbush is equipped with buckets and lines, collecting fine Adirondack sugar maple sap to be turned into delicious maple products with the help of family and friends. Maple products at Mud St. Maple include maple syrup, walnuts, creams, candy, and bourbon maple syrup.

Windy Ridge Farm

An old-fashioned family farm in Athol! Windy Ridge Farm is a 100-acre, family-owned farm that has been worked for seven generations. The farm is made up of woods and fields that provides hay products, garden products, wood products, and a sugar bush for maple syrup making.

Lake George Village Farmers Market

Grab locally-produced goods in Shepard Park! The Lake George Village Farmers Market offers seasonal New York grown produce, dairy, seafood, honey, bake goods and plants. The market also includes live music, door prizes, and children's activities include face painting and bounce houses. The market takes place June through September on Wednesdays, from 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
