If the mountains call to you, there are hundreds of miles of trails meandering through hushed forests, just waiting to be explored. These hiking trails lead to illustrious Adirondack peaks for you to conquer as well. Trail riders have several options also. The Warren County Bikeway is a beautifully secluded cycling path connecting Lake George and Glens Falls. Mountain bikers can shred wooded trails at parks in Queensbury, Brant Lake, and North Creek. Found in lower elevations, lakes and ponds have abundant populations of freshwater fish. Anglers can also opt to stand in a quiet stream and fish the Adirondacks in tranquility. Golfers can hit the links at one of several prestigious and gorgeously landscaped courses all over the region.
Winter warriors have their pick of three top-tier mountain resorts for skiing and snowboarding. While cross-country skiers will love our fantastic Nordic networks. Once the waterways freeze solid, ice shanties start popping up as anglers put in their tip-ups. Snowmobilers will thoroughly enjoy traversing a handful of different trail systems groomed by local clubs.
