Parades, live music, and more – here is a list of all the Memorial Day observances around the Lake George Area honoring those who have served our country:
Hague Memorial Day Celebration (Parade & Funfest)
Join the Town of Hague for their annual Memorial Day Celebration on Saturday, May 23 kicking off at 10 a.m. Watch and wave as clowns, bands, classic cars, and floats drive by. Prizes will be awarded for Best in Parade, Most Humorous, Best Youth, Most Creative, Most Patriotic, Best Adirondack, and more.
Family fun in the park includes a bouncy house, caricature artist, and Penelope the Clown. Craft and jewelry vendors will be set up in addition to the Senior Citizens Club’s White Elephant Sale.
Get in line for the Hague Volunteer Fire Department’s Famous Chicken BBQ. Grab a hot dog or hamburger grilled up by the Hague Fish & Game Club, or Larry Henderson’s funnel cakes and fried Oreos.
The following day, May 24, there will be fireworks for Memorial Day at Silver Bay YMCA.
Lake George
Join the Gold Star Mothers and Lake George American Legion for their Memorial Day Celebration in the Village including a patriotic parade route on Saturday, May 23 from Westbrook Road, down Beach Road, and onto Canada Street, ending at the memorial in Shepard Park. The parade steps off at 11:30 a.m.
Glens Falls & Queensbury
Attend the Glens Falls and Queensbury Memorial Day Parade. The parade will proceed north on Glen Street, from Ridge to Maple, and then Crandall Park from 9 to 11 a.m. on May 25. The remembrance ceremony will be held in front of the Peace and Victory Monument, with special veterans to be honored.
Warrensburg
Warrensburg is honoring those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country with a patriotic parade on May 25. The parade will line up at 9 a.m. at the Warrensburg Volunteer Fire Company with a route to the St. Cecilia’s/Warrensburg Cemetery.
North Warren
Come together with three different communities for the North Warren Memorial Day Parade on May 25. The parade route begins at 10 a.m. on Horicon Avenue in Brant Lake, loops around Mill Pond, and ends at the Horicon Town Hall/Community Center.
Bolton Landing
Come wave your American flag on May 25 to support our military heroes at the Bolton Landing Memorial Day Parade. Starting at 10 a.m., the route follows Lake Shore Drive from Rogers Memorial Park, past the Veterans’ Memorial, stopping at Veteran’s Memorial Park for a ceremony, music, food, and fun.
Johnsburg/North Creek
Join the Johnsburg Central School District for a patriotic Memorial Day Parade on May 25. The parade steps off at 10 a.m. from the school on Main Street. The route & ceremonies will conclude at the Veteran’s Monument at 12 p.m.
Hadley-Luzerne
Lake Luzerne and Hadley will come together for their Memorial Day Parade. The May 25 parade will step off from the four corners in Hadley at 11 a.m. and proceed across the Bridge of Hope, ending at Luzerne Cemetery across from the William J. Varney American Legion Post #862. Following the parade there will be refreshments for all.
Stony Creek
Observe Memorial Day with a parade and service in Stony Creek on May 25. The parade lineup starts at 1 p.m. at the Town Hall and will end at the Town Memorial in the Stony Creek Town Park with refreshments available at the Town Hall following the parade and service.

Memorial Day Mile
Lace up those sneakers to support our troops. The Memorial Day Mile is a 1-mile road race and community walk that takes place on May 25, before the Glens Falls & Queensbury Memorial Day Parade. See you at the starting line at 9:50 a.m. to run the same route along Glens Street to Crandall Park that the floats will follow later in the day. All proceeds will go to our local veterans organizations.
FETE ADK ‘26-Lake George DJ Takeover
Bringing DJs together on the East Coast, FETE ADK ‘26-Lake George DJ Takeover takes over the Fort William Henry Hotel and DJ’s NiteClub throughout Memorial Day weekend, May 22 through May 24. The Fort William Henry Hotel is the site of the main stage, vendor village, and lawn games for all to attend. To get in to the After Parties at DJ’s NiteClub you must be 21+.
Opening Weekend at the Great Escape
Theme park thrills are back! Opening Weekend at the Great Escape & Hurricane Harbor Waterpark is May 23 & 24. Snag front row on The Comet, challenge the family to Marshal’s Stampede Bumper Cars, and ride the Grand Carousel. The Last of the Mohicans - Immersive Movie
Only offered a handful of times throughout the year, a screening of The Last of the Mohicans - Immersive Movie falls during Memorial Day weekend, on May 23 at 8:45 p.m. Watch the movie within the setting, inside the Fort William Henry, with real life musket fire and cannon blast sound effects. Plus, reenactors acting out the action scenes!
