Celebrate the unofficial last days of summer with entertainment all weekend long in the Lake George Area, leading up to Labor Day on Monday, September 2nd. Kick back and take in some summer melodies at a free concert, grab a bite to eat from local food truck vendors, and round out the weekend with an impressive fireworks show. All classic ways to end another great season in the Adirondacks! 


Friday, August 29

Adirondack Independence Music Festival 

You’re invited to Lake George’s biggest party of the year! The Adirondack Independence Music Festival is a three-day, multi-band event from Aug. 29 to 31 at the Festival Commons. Rock out to tunes from premier touring bands currently hot on the circuit. Once gates open on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, music will be playing all day and night long from two side-by-side stages until 11 p.m. Enjoy a full bar, great beer and wine selection, food, and merchandise vendors.

Food Truck Fridays on the Pond

Head over to the Horicon Community Center for the season’s last Food Truck Fridays on the Pond in Brant Lake. Starting at 5 p.m., enjoy some local live music while snacking on tasty fare from a variety of new and returning food truck vendors and gazing up at an amazing fireworks display! 

Fridays at the Lake Concert Series 

Kick off the weekend’s festivities with some live music on the shores of Lake George at the free Fridays at the Lake Concert Series. This is the last concert of the 2025 series, and will start at 6 p.m. in Shepard Park in the Lake George Village. These concerts are kid-friendly and pet-friendly as well. 

Outdoor Cinema 

Anyone up for a family movie night? Glens Falls City Park hosts a free, family-friendly Outdoor Cinema on summer Fridays, weather permitting. Bring a blanket and your favorite movie-watching snacks. This August 29 showing will be Garfield: The Movie, opening credits begin rolling at 6 p.m.

Lake George Triathlon Festival 

Are you up for the challenge? Enjoy some friendly competition while you swim, bike, and run on the shores of Lake George. The Lake George Triathlon Festival is taking place this weekend – Saturday and Sunday at Battlefield Park and Lake George Beach (Million Dollar). Beach. The Gilded Age Summer Festival Gala

The Sembrich's Gilded Age Summer Festival concludes on this date with their Gala: A Gilded Age Musicale. Purchase your tickets here to attend this re-creation of a time-period voice recital performed by coloratura soprano, Karoline Podolak, and pianist, Michael Clement. Song choices include those from the opera career of Marcella Sembrich herself.

Bolton Landing Labor Day Celebration

Stop by Roger’s Memorial Park for an “end of the summer” and Labor Day extravaganza. Enjoy music on the pier from the Radio Junkies starting at 5 p.m. until 8p.m.m just before fireworks go off at 8:15! Bring a blanket or chair and join in on all the fun!
