Food Truck Frenzy: Local Cuisines on Full Display

Summertime yields many staples in the Lake George Area. With plenty of lakeside and river space, a majority of initial thoughts point to swimming, boating, or another type of aquatic activity. For those who prefer to stay on the mainland, perhaps your first instinct is hiking or camping due to the surrounding nature of the Adirondacks.

However, there is a timeless tradition in the region that is in the hearts of both tourists and locals alike. Maybe it’s not your first guess, but the concept of food trucks is eagerly sought by many in the warmer months.

Ever wanted to sample local foods with ease? Food Trucks are a fantastic option to do just that. Multiple towns in the area host a weekly ‘festival-esque’ gathering where different trucks host and sell their product(s). Great company, the warmth of the outdoors, terrific cuisine - and most of the time, there are often other vendors and/or musical entertainment accompanying these events. If you’re reading this thinking, “There’s a lot to love,” then you’d be right.

With various restaurants and companies participating – and even more food options available – the ability to discover and experiment is vast for sure. Check out below to see the food truck events happening around the area weekly over the next several months.

(Side Note: These weekly Food Truck events happen to correspond on different days of the week, providing more opportunities for all the foodies out there.)

The Food Truck Scene

Lake Luzerne Food Trucks and Music

Location: Benjamin C. Butler Pavilion Park

Dates: Every Wednesday from July 9th,2025 – August 13th,2025

Time: 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM

Visit the charming community of Lake Luzerne (just southwest of Lake George) every Wednesday for their Food Trucks and Music series. Performances from many local bands, such as The Stony Creek Band and Big Sky Country, highlight the evening, alongside tasty treats from an array of food trucks. Sample marvelous meals such as tacos, fish and chicken sandwiches, doughnuts, and more.

There’ll also be 50/50 raffles to raise money for the Lake Luzerne Food Bank as well as local scholarships, so why not try your luck at walking away with a prize or two?

(For any inclement weather, the concerts will be moved to the Lake Luzerne Senior Center inside Lake Luzerne Town Hall.)

Hague Music in the Park Concert Series

Location: Hague Town Beach Park

Dates: Every Wednesday from July 9th, 2025 – August 27th,2025

Time: 5:30 PM - 8:30 PM

Head to Hague every Wednesday during the summer for their "Music in the Park" concert series.

These concerts feature a variety of local artists and bands, with food trucks lining up before they take center stage. The food trucks will begin serving at 5:30 PM, with the concerts running from 6:30 to 8:30 PM in July, and from 6:00 to 8:00 PM in August.

Don't forget to bring your lawn chairs and your dancing shoes!

Thursday Market & Food Truck Corral

Location: The Shirt Factory

Dates: Every Thursday from May 15th, 2025 – September 11th,2025 (*except July 3rd)

Time: 4:30 PM - 8:00 PM

Foodies, crafters, and shoppers alike rejoice! The Thursday Market & Food Truck Corral in historic Glens Falls is a conglomeration of farmers and crafts markets, as well as over a dozen food trucks. Enjoy fresh food vendors with local favorites such as barbecue, seafood, and even an assortment of maple-flavored goodies. Trucks and vendors may change regularly, so there’s always something new to try!

Plus, make sure you stop by The Shirt Factory for specials each week from the local shops inside.

Food Truck Fridays on the Pond

Location: Town of Horicon Community Center

Dates: Every Friday from July 4th, 2025 – August 29th,2025

Time: 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM

Head up north of Lake George to the majestic Mill Pond for spectacular live music and eats during Food Truck Fridays. Live music and a selection of food truck vendors await as you can sample delicious delicacies such as pizza, fish fry, and more.

There’s also weekly entertainment and games hosted by the local community, so check it out and make your Friday nights ‘fun-tastic.’
