Events are the reason that many people plan a trip to the Lake George Area, and many of these events end with a spectacular fireworks show. Relive childhood memories and make new ones under a kaleidoscope of colors. Celebrate summer with these amazing fireworks displays:

4th of July

The 4th of July has some of the most glorious fireworks shows of the year. Several towns in the Lake George Area hold red, white, and blue-themed events that conclude with these colorful displays.

The Lake George Village holds its 4th of July fireworks show over the waters of Lake George, where cascading colors can be seen from almost anywhere. Bolton Landing has a fantastic 4th of July party in Roger’s Memorial Park – an evening of music, magic, and fireworks. Hague commemorates Independence Day with a special fireworks show during that week’s free Summer Concert Series at the Hague Town Beach Park. Much like the Glens Falls Symphony, which has a similar music/fireworks show during their Summer Pops Concert series at Crandall Park. Chestertown’s Summerfest and 4th of July celebration usually take place the week after, giving you all the more reason to keep extending that fun-filled long weekend.

You can also take in the fireworks over West Mountain while attending the year-round recreation resort’s Music on the Mountain Concert Series.

Fireworks, Lake George

Labor Day Weekend

Celebrate the unofficial last days of summer with a bang. If you head home following the long weekend, this is your last chance to see one of our spectacular fireworks displays with awe that will last you to next summer’s Lake George Area vacation.

There’s a rockin’ good time to be had over Labor Day Weekend in Bolton Landing. Stop by Roger’s Memorial Park for an “end of the summer” extravaganza with live music on the pier and fireworks.

Food Truck Fridays on the Pond will include a fireworks show over the hamlet of Brant Lake during Labor Day Weekend, all while you enjoy a variety of good eats from new and returning food truck vendors parked at the Horicon Community Center.

Get close to the Labor Day excitement aboard a steamboat cruise on Lake George. Take in scenic views of the southern bay as dusk settles, then “ooh” and “aah” at the fireworks display from the deck of the ship.

Annual Events

Aside from holiday celebrations, several annual events also include fireworks:

The Smoke Eaters Jamboree, a two-day family carnival hosted by the Warrensburg Fire Department (pictured below), always closes out the event with fireworks on Saturday night.

The Adirondack Nationals Car Show brings a flood of classic cars to Lake George Village. Among all the sights to see and things to do during this multi-day event, a fireworks show is never left off the schedule.

And, enjoy a Thursday Night Fireworks show over the “Queen of American Lakes” in Lake George Village during the height of the summer season.

A spectacular display takes place over the icy lake every weekend in February during the Lake George Winter Carnival...because fireworks are much more than a summertime tradition here in the Lake George Area!
