Celebrating Independence Day in the Lake George Area? Here are all the spectacular firework displays, local live music, and other red, white, and blue-themed events to attend during the holiday weekend.

Music on the Mountain – June 29

Join the fun at West Mountain’s Music on the Mountain Summer Concert with Big Sky Country’s tunes from 6 to 10 p.m. You can also expect fireworks, scenic chairlift rides, an outdoor beer garden, arts & crafts projects for kids, and more. Admission tickets must be purchased for entry; children six and under are free. 

Summer Pops Concert – July 3 

The Glens Falls Symphony presents its popular, family-friendly 4th of July celebration at Crandall Park! Summer Pops Concert starts at 7:30 p.m. with fireworks at 9:30 p.m.!

Hague 3rd of July – July 3

A special addition to the Town of Hague’s Music in the Park Concert Series lineup is Hague's 3rd of July celebration. Food trucks serving up at 5:30 p.m. and music from the Barkeater Band starts at 6:30 p.m. Fireworks blast off at 9:15 p.m.!

July 4th Fireworks in Lake George Village – July 4

Spend the 4th in the Village of Lake George and enjoy the fireworks display over the lake from almost anywhere. You won’t be able to stop oohing and aahing during this impressive show that kicks off at 9:30 p.m.

Bolton Independence Day Celebration – July 4

Head to Bolton Landing for an Independence Day extravaganza starting at 6:30 p.m. – an evening of music, magic, and fireworks! Roger’s Memorial Park is the place to be for festivities, including spectacular fireworks!

Lake George Family Fireworks Cruises – July 4 & 6

Watch the show from the best seats in the house aboard the Horicon and the Adirondac during a Family Fireworks Cruise. Lake George Waterfront Cruises offers front row viewing of the excitement from their historic ships throughout the holiday weekend.

Minne Ha-Ha Fireworks Cruises – July 4 & 6

Climb aboard one of three iconic Lake George Steamboat Company’s ships for an experience like no other during a Minne-Ha-Ha Fireworks Cruise. Watch fireworks light up the sky over Lake George from on the water this Independence Day weekend. 

Johnsburg Independence Day Celebration – July 7 

Wave your American flag as the floats pass by! Johnsburg’s Independence Day Celebration  starts at 3 p.m. with loads of entertainment and family-friendly fun including a parade, live bands, food vendors, kids’ activities, and pony rides – all concluding with a fireworks show and after dusk party! 

Town of Chester 225th Anniversary – July 13

Your 4th of July festivities don’t have to end on July 5th! In place of their annual SummerFest, join us in celebrating the Town of Chester’s 225th anniversary! Continue your Independence Day festivities into the following weekend with an American Legion dedication ceremony, food trucks, a car show, family-friendly activities, historical photo exhibit, live music, and more. All concluding with a spectacular fireworks show of course!

The Park Theater’s Summer Series Concerts at Crandall Park – June 28

The Park Theater’s Summer Series Concerts kick off the long weekend. Enjoy some tunes at the Crandall Park Bandshell. This series consists of a free concert from local musicians every Friday in July from 7 to 8:30 p.m. 

Glens Falls Dragons Baseball Home Game – June 30 & July 3

Enjoy America’s pastime during America’s birthday weekend! The Glens Falls Dragons will be hosting the Albany Dutchmen on June 30 and the Amsterdam Mohawks on July 3. The games are scheduled to start at 7 p.m. Kids, make sure to bring your glove – you might catch a foul ball!

Stony Creek Music in the Park – July 2 

Round out your 4th of July festivities by rocking out to Randy Rollman City Limits at the Stony Creek Town Park. Music in the Park is a Tuesday night concert series with local bands “taking the stage” at 7 p.m. from July 2 through August 27. This is the perfect opportunity to gather family and friends for an Independence Day cookout with a great live soundtrack. 

Lake George Arts Project Summer Concert Series – July 3

The Lake George Arts Project Summer Concert Series presents a diverse mix of musicians on stage at the Shepard Park amphitheater. Come back every Wednesday evening to be entertained by Americana, Blues, Bluegrass, Caribbean Dance Beats, Folk, Jazz, Rock, Reggae, and every genre in between.
