The brilliance of tent camping is in its ease and simplicity. You pitch your tent and you’re ready to camp. At a Lake George Area tent site, it’s easy to embrace this simplicity. Campgrounds spanning the region have beautiful sites.

Tent camping has been a Lake George Area fixture for decades. You can camp in towns in every corner of the region and pitch a tent at several different styles of campgrounds. Tent sites make for basic, laid back camping, allowing you to completely relax and dive into the Adirondack wilderness.

Swim in the lake at an alluring beach, or leave the campground to conquer a hike or explore an amusement park. Basic public campgrounds allow you to set up camp and then explore the region’s top attractions. You can hit the beach or go mini-golfing by day and return to the campfire every night. Island camping is the Lake George Area’s most serene choice for tent camping, accessible only by boat. Amenity-rich private campgrounds offer tent sites and access to endless fun and attractions. Many RV parks allow for tents as well as having full RV hookups.

Staying at a tent site is a cinch so you can spend most of your vacation enjoying the Lake George Area.
