The Lake George Area is a festive place. A lot of that spunk comes from its live music scene. Musicians play their tunes in small town bars and at full-size arenas all year long. So when you’re walking down the street and you hear some familiar lyrics, stop in and enjoy the show.

The Lake George Area has a bustling live music scene. Local musicians play their songs at bars, restaurants, and town parks all over the area. The music spans several genres from popular cover songs, original acoustic, and full rock and country bands. You may be dropping in on an unexpected show by a solo artist anytime you walk into a Lake George Area restaurant. Most of these establishments are kid-friendly, so if you hear some music while you’re passing on the sidewalk, make sure to stop in with the whole family. Sometimes the musicians are strumming away next to the bar. Other times they’re playing outside on a covered deck. The music doesn’t end at bars and restaurants. Many of the Lake George Area’s annual events are based around live music, such as the Lake George Jazz Weekend. Live music continues at libraries and museums that welcome kids to unique concerts and performances. Live music always sounds good in the Lake George Area.
