Six Flags Great Escape Fright Fest

It’s Six Flags Great Escape & Hurricane Harbor’s beloved annual Fright Fest… and one that will leave you screaming! Once the sun goes down, the park transforms into a haunting you can’t escape from.

 

Hordes of zombies and ghouls roam free—especially around scare zones—the rides become even more thrilling in pitch-black, and specially designed Fright Fest haunted mazes and shows take center stage for terror in a league of their own.

Six Flags Great Escape Kids Boo Fest

Location: Six Flags Great Escape

Date(s): Saturdays and Sundays from September 27th - October 26th (and Monday October 13th)

Time: 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM

 

If the youngest visitors out there aren’t ready for the high-intensity thrills of Fright Fest, there’s no need to worry! Check out the park during the day for the family-friendly Six Flags Great Escape Kids Boo Fest.

 

Kids under 12 can show off their costumes, while the entire family can collect candy along the Trick or Treat Trail, participate in the open Halloween Costume Contest, take a stroll through the Hay Maze, and more.

 

This event runs during the daytime on weekends, so there’s plenty of time to explore before the hauntings of Fright Fest arrive.

Haunted Factory Chocolate Session

Location: Barkeater Chocolates

Date(s): Saturdays and Sundays until November 22nd

Time: 3:00 PM - 4:30 PM

 

A haunted chocolate factory?! Talk about both tricks and treats.

 

Come to Barkeater Chocolates and learn about the haunted history this location possesses, with both video and audio evidence included. Their 150-year history features scandals and mysteries that can only be shared in person. After the paranormal presentation, participants can visit the Experience Room, where they’ll then make their own delicious chocolate ghost.

 

It’s a terrifyingly great combination of both scary and sweet. Capacity is limited per session, so check out their website now and book a date before you get left in the dark. Do you believe in ghosts?

Halloween Family Concert

Location: Charles R. Wood Theater

Join for a spell, won’t you?

 

Witness enchanting performances from the Glens Falls Symphony's string quartet and percussion duo. In addition to some super scary tunes, plenty of candy will be available for everyone.

Boo 2 You! Downtown Trick or Treat

Location: Glens Falls City Park (Glen St. and Ridge St.)

Date(s): October 25th

Time: 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM

 

It’s a Halloween bash, and everyone’s invited!

 

Grab your children, dress in your best costumes, and trick-or-treat at downtown Glens Falls’ storefronts and sidewalks at the Boo 2 You event. Gather some candy, meet and greet with costumed characters, listen to live performances, and more.

 

The winners of the annual Halloween House Competition will also be announced at this event, so this is your chance to check out all the ghastly decorations on display.

Trunk or Treat Up Yonda

Location: Up Yonda Farm

Date(s): October 25th

Time: 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM

 

People aren’t the only ones that can dress up for Halloween, you know. If you want to see some of the best-decorated vehicles around, don’t forget to check out Up Yonda Farm’s Trunk or Treat.

 

Kids are more than welcome to arrive in costume and trick-or-treat from car to car—or, more specifically, trunk to trunk. On top of delectable goodies, the children and their families can participate in pumpkin decorating, wildlife exhibitions, and even a terrifying live raptor display.

 

This event will be held rain or shine, so don’t make the ghoulish mistake of missing out!

Town of Thurman Trick or Treat Trail

Location: Town of Thurman

Date(s): October 25th

Time: 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM

 

Gather your scare crew and come to the Thurman Town Hall for a terrifyingly traffic-free trick-or-treat trail.

 

Decorations line up the trail, as kids can collect candy at multiple stopping points. There will also be a pumpkin carving contest. Bring your pumpkins to display under the town pavilion, and the winner will receive a Halloween-themed basket.

 

Get into the spirit of the spooky season with this festive small-town celebration!
