What you bring depends a lot on where you are staying and what you love to do. One thing we always suggest is stuffing one extra bag inside for things that may find their way back home—new t-shirts, prizes won at the Great Escape, or a beautiful cutting board from one of the many farmers markets that run in the area.

For the music lovers, go ahead and bring your guitar or fiddle, if a string breaks or you want to buy an accessory, we’ve got you covered.  Heck, if you want to get better at playing, you might want to carve out some time to try out a class.

If your relationship with music runs more toward the workout playlist, worry not. If you pack your running, cross fit, yoga, pilates, cycling, swimming, Zumba, or paddling gear, there will be places to use them. Or pop into the outlets, the mall, or downtown for new gear. And golf, bring your clubs!

Light raincoats are never a bad bet, packing pro-tip—even if you don’t use them, they can be a great dividing layer between clean and dirty clothes on the way home!

Dinner for 2 or 20, dancing, theatre, or even parasailing can all be done here, which means taking a page from the Rick Steve’s playbook and packing a dress or outfit that you can wear for a night out as well as things that are breathable is a smart move. Or, use that extra bag to take home the new clothes you get along Bolton Landing’s Lake Shore Drive.

The Lake George Area blends simple pleasures and you-deserve-a-treat-luxuries that make it easy to find whatever it is you need. Once you are here, you can cap off your evening with a ride under the stars and taking in the fresh, Adirondack air.

Or you can tuck into a table for two and enjoy a nightcap by candlelight.

The one thing you won’t have to pack for your visit is magic, we’ve got that in plentiful supply.
