We've got the scoop on what places in the Lake George Area are serving up the best ice cream, so scroll down to follow the sweetest ride!

Chester

The Crossroads is a family-owned business offering different soft-serve flavors daily....like Pumpkin Maple Twist! If you're looking for something even sweeter, try a signature sundae like Crossroads S'more or Night Crawler! Have a look inside their one-stop shop, for any thing you may need for your trip. The ice cream window is open May - October. (Pictured below is a delicious maple milkshake!)

Main Street Ice Cream Parlor doesn't just serve ice cream, they also have ice cream sodas and floats! Check out their huge list of Parlor Specialties too: Dusty Road Sundae, Dirty Fisherman, Snow Shoe, S'mores Sundae, White Water Raft, and more! Venture upstairs to browse their unique collection of gifts, clothes, and accessories. Fun fact!....The building used to be an old schoolhouse that was built in 1913.

Stone Bridge Ice Cream has over 40 flavors of soft-served ice cream, with unlimited possible flavor combinations! They have several unique flavors, including: Apple Pie, Eggnog, Maple, Pumpkin Spice Latte, Red Velvet Cake, Starburst, and more! Try one of their signature sundaes like the Adirondacker, PB Gold Mine, or Strawberry Cheesecake.....or build your own sundae! Before (or after your ice cream) drive down the road to visit the largest marble cave entrance in the eastern United States. It's been family owned for over 200 years! Glens Falls

Alif Cafe (They have a second location in Lake George!) This is the only place in our area serving rolled ice cream! You could start with Beginner and try one flavor like: Chocolate, Mango, or Peanut Butter....or mix and match with Combo! Move on to Expert to try Oreo, Baklava, Chips Ahoy and more!

Cooper's Cave Ale Company makes all of their hard ice cream flavors on-site! (Like their Pumpkin Pie, Snickers, or Cinnamon ice cream...yum!) They also have soft-serve ice cream, Super Sundaes (Ex. Warm Stuffed Brownie Sundae!), Fantastic Floats (Your choice of soda and ice cream), and more! You can't make a stop here without try some of their handcrafted gourmet soda like: Orange Cream and Dracula's Blood (strawberry). The ice cream window is open April - September. Rob & Deb's Frozen Dreams serves creamy homemade soft-serve ice cream.....That's not all that's homemade! They have homemade whipped cream, homemade maple fudge topping, homemade waffle cones, and homemade brownies for their brownie sundaes! Also featured on their menu is the Concrete Bomb - a hot fudge sundae on top of a flurry!! They have several flavors of soft-serve that they rotate each week, so be sure to check their Flavor Calendar! They are open March - September.

Lake George

A&W All American Food is known for their root beer, so you can't stop here without trying their Floats (A&W Root Beer and topped with their vanilla soft-serve ice cream) or Freeze! (A&W Root Beer blended with vanilla soft serve) If you're not a root beer fan, don't worry there are other tasty treats on their menu. They serve shakes, sundaes, soft serve, banana splits, and...Polar Swirls! The later is vanilla soft serve with your choice of Oreo, M&M's, Reese's, or Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough. (Pictured below is their signature A&W Root Beer Float).

Lake George Olive Oil Company (another location in Glens Falls) is the only place around offering gelato. The gelato is locally made and imported from Italy, and flavors include: Tiramisu, Salted Caramel, Nocciolatta, Stracciatella, Coffee, Berries n' Cream, and more! There are vegan options too, like Pistachio made with almond milk. Their gelato is served seasonally in spring, summer, and fall.

Lake George Ice Cream serves Battenkill Valley Creamery Hard Ice Cream right inside of Caffe Vero! Enjoy different creamy flavors served up in milkshakes (ex. Chocolate Peanut Butter Shake), sundaes (ex. Bedrock Sundae), or a coffee float made with Caffe Vero's coffee.

Nina's Sweet Shoppe is the only place in the area where you can get custard, and they offer over 30 flavors of hard ice cream!....Mint Chocolate Chip, Pumpkin, Kahlua Almond Amaretto, Blueberry, S'mores, and more. Get a scoop (or 2) in one of their signature waffle cones: rainbow sprinkles, nuts, chocolate sprinkles....just a few of their options!

The Pink Roof is located right across the street from Lake George! You can take in the scenic views while enjoying your ice cream, and when night falls....grab your ice cream, and enjoy the fireworks over the lake (Thursday nights in summer). Their menu includes: Soft & hard ice cream, milkshakes, flurries, sundaes, candy toppings, and more!
