A snowshoe in the Lake George Area is one of the best ways to get a great workout while basking in the winter beauty of the Adirondacks. Enjoy dedicated snowshoe trails at beautiful Crandall Park. Take a snowshoe hike to the top of mountain peaks for a great view of neighboring mountains and frozen lakes. If you don’t have your own snowshoes, rentals are available at some snowshoeing facilities in the area. Get out there and take a walk!

Up Yonda Farm Environmental Education Center

72 acres of Adirondack fun in Bolton Landing! Up Yonda Farm is an educational museum that specializes in teaching kids about the Adirondacks. The museum features wildlife exhibits of native mammals and birds such as bears, bobcats, fishers, and porcupines. Hands on children's exhibits feature archaeology digs and touch tables.

The Pinnacle

The Pinnacle, a 73-acre preserve, is a hiking trail five minutes outside of Bolton Landing maintained by the Lake George Land Conservancy. A local landmark highly visible from Cat Mountain and Lake George, the Pinnacle hiking trail follows an old logging road .75 mile to the summit at about 1,300-feet. The elevation change is about 480 feet.

Warrensburg Recreation Field

Have some fun in the town of Warrensburg! The Warrensburg Recreation is a four-season park in the town of Warrensburg. The park offers athletic fields, tennis courts, a playground, basketball courts, and more. Winter fun includes cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and a toboggan run. Contact the Warrensburg Town Office to reserve the pavilion.

Lake George Recreation Park

Get outside and have some fun at the Lake George Recreation Park! There's a ton to do at the Lake George Recreation Park! Enjoy baseball, softball, and soccer fields by reservation. There are also basketball courts and a dog park available for use.
