Ice skating is a timeless winter activity in the Lake George Area. From laps around skating rinks to pick-up hockey on frozen lakes, every winter provides an opportunity to skate in the Lake George Area.

Make sure those ice skates are sharp when you make a winter trip to the Lake George Area. Ice skating is an awesome outdoor activity if you want to enjoy the Adirondacks. You can skate on frozen lakes, doing laps on the naturally formed ice. If skating on manicured ice in the warmth of a building is more your style, head to a local ice rink. The Cool Insuring Arena offers public skates all winter long, and Crandall Park has a lighted outdoor pond for skating. Some indoor rinks offer ice skate rentals, so don’t worry if you left yours at home. If you’d rather watch other people skate around the ice, check out an Adirondack Thunder hockey game at the Glens Fall Civic Center. Don’t leave the Lake George Area without going for a skate.
