The Pinnacle, a 73-acre preserve, is a hiking trail five minutes outside of Bolton Landing that is maintained by the Lake George Land Conservancy.
A local landmark highly visible from Cat Mountain and Lake George, the Pinnacle hiking trail follows an old logging road .75 mile to the summit at about 1,300-feet. The elevation change is about 480 feet.
The Pinnacle offers stunning, 270-degree views of the Tongue Mountain Range, Buck Mountain, Shelving Rock, Dome Island, the Sagamore, and the Narrows.
Mountain biking is allowed on the trail.
