Meade Mountain and Beckman Mountain Hiking Trail

This moderate-to-difficult trail in Chestertown leads to the summit of both Meade Mountain and Beckman Mountain. A wide, steep, dirt path brings hikers to the summit of Meade Mountain. After a short descent, another ascent brings hikers to the summit of Beckman Mountain. Hikers are rewarded with distant views of Gore Mountain from the summit of Meade, and views of Loon Lake, Schroon Lake, and other mountains from the summit of Beckman. This 2.1-mile round-trip hike can be completed in about two hours.

Meade Mountain and Beckman Mountain are part of the Chester Challenge, a hiking challenge based around the Town of Chester.
