Learn about Lake George water quality on the Lake George Association’s Floating Classroom!
The Lake George Association’s Floating Classroom is a two hour aquatic learning adventure on Lake George with the educational staff of the Lake George Association. Students will take part in hands-on activities as they learn about the geologic history of the lake. There is a focus on how students can keep Lake George as clean as possible.
The Floating Classroom includes experiences like measuring water quality, catching zooplankton, and testing water pH and temperature.
The Floating Classroom leaves Shepard Park on Wednesdays in July and August. Reservations are required. Dress warmly — windy days can be chilly on the lake!
