Get outside and experience the Adirondacks at Garnet Hill Outdoor Center!
The Garnet Hill Outdoor Center is a four-season adventure complex offering biking and paddling in the spring, summer, and fall and world-class cross-country skiing and snowshoeing in the winter.
In the spring, summer, and fall we provide access to a wide range of warm weather activities including hiking, swimming, paddling, and mountain biking. The Outdoor Center maintains an extensive network of mountain bike trails, including dedicated single-track trails, snowshoe trails and wider cross-country ski trails. While beach and boat launch access is restricted to overnight guests, the Garnet Hill trail system is open to the public.
Just outside the door of the Outdoor Center, hikers can explore 114,010 acres of the adjacent Siamese Ponds Wilderness area and 600 acres of ski trails with many interesting views. Choose from an all-day climb topping out a 4000 ft. high peak, or a leisurely walk in the woods. Garnet Hill Outdoor Center is the ideal jumping off point for southern Adirondack hiking.
In the winter, Garnet Hill is one of an elite group of cross country ski centers with 55 kilometers of expertly groomed trails that provide first-class skiing for both classic and skate skiers alike. Located adjacent to the Siamese Ponds Wilderness Area, endless miles of back-country ski trails are accessible right from our Outdoor Center. In the winter season trails are available with our Nordic Trail Season Pass.
Ski, snowshoe and mountain bike equipment is available for rent at the Outdoor Center, and our PSIA-certified ski school is available for private and group ski lessons. Inquire at the Outdoor Center for more information on all of our programs, and don’t forget to purchase a trail pass before you head out on the Garnet Hill trails.
After a fantastic day on the trails or down at the lake, the Log House Restaurant and Pub at Garnet Hill Lodge is just the place to unwind. Stop by to enjoy a drink, a meal and the stunning lake and mountain views.
