The Lake George Volunteer Fire Department is proud to host the Family Festival and Craft Show annually for over 40 years in the beautiful Village of Lake George. The festival features local and regional artisans and crafters as well as from New England and Pennsylvania. Featured are handmade items and crafts for everyone for all occasions.

Bring your blankets, lawn chairs, maybe a picnic basket and enjoy a great night of music on a beautiful Southern Adirondack evening. It's a family-friendly ~ dog-friendly time. Come early or stay after the show, stroll along Main Street and have a pleasant meal at an area restaurant.  

Join award-winning outdoor photographer Carl Heilman as he shares his knowledge of photography. You will discover the magic of the late afternoon, sunset, evening light and the wonder and beauty of the night sky in the Southern Adirondacks. You will travel to nearby destinations along roadways, lakes and waterways. After the sun sets you'll photograph in the twilight as the stars come out.

It's a day to enjoy the Queen of the American Lakes! Swimmers take to the beautiful water of Lake George in the Southern Adirondacks of Upstate New York. The start is in-water and follows a course of out-and-back style loop.

This race originally began in the 1970s and was run by local community volunteers. We areexcited to continue the tradition in 2019. Paddlers will begin at the north end of the lake and paddle 5.5-miles into the outlet, finishing just above the Mill Pond dam in the Hamlet of Horicon.

Join us for interpretative walks in Lake George Battlefield Park. Highlighting events that occurred during colonial times, and archaeological features in the park. This is the site of the Battle of Lake George, 1755. Historical features from the French and Indian War still visible in the Park.

You haven’t experienced anything like it! A 10k Bike - 5k Run.  Choose to Run It - Ride It or do the Combo! The Duathlon ~ bike / run ~ can be done as an individual or as a team.

Remember Sunday afternoons at Grandma's? That was the best day of the week. The table was set with a beautiful table cloth, the best dishes and silverware were used and you and your family enjoyed each others company - laughing, sharing memories and stories, the radio was playing, but best of all was Grandma's cooking.

Love to bicycle and Love the Lake ~ this is a fun, healthy and leisurely way to spend a summer day on the Queen of the American Lakes! Two options to choose from ~ bicycle from the Village of Lake George north along Lake Shore Drive - State Route 9N to Steamboat Landing - Baldwin Dock near the Town of Ticonderoga ~ there board the MV Mohican and enjoy the Southern Adirondack

Be thoroughly entertained as Lake George Music Festival pianists perform music for 0 - yes! zero hands - all the way up to 8 hands. Music of Clara Schumann, Frederic Chopin, Franz Liszt, Alexande Scriabin,, Wolfgang A. Mozart, Sergei Rachmaninoff, and Albert Lavignac.

Enjoy a free summer concert every Monday evening in Thurman! This summer concert series is held at Veteran's Memorial Field in Thurman. These shindigs star musicians and bands who play unique music from diverse genres such as country, bluegrass, folk, gospel, blues, jazz, and rockabilly.

Join Wendy Hall from the Adirondack Wildlife Refuge. This program is about rehabbing wildlife in the Adirondacks - including wolves, foxes and bears, coyotes, bobcats, a porcupine, opossum, owls, hawks, peregrine falcon, ravens, and a turkey vulture.

Listen to free live music at the Warrensburg bandstand all summer long! The Warrensburg Summer Concert Series takes place every Wednesday evening at 7:00 p.m. Some of the area's best country, rock, bluegrass, and folk bands will play their best tunes. These concerts are absolutely free and family-friendly! Enjoy find food from the food trucks.

The Aurora Games are a first-of-its-kind competition which features world-class athletes from teams representing North and South America against competitors from the rest of the world. Athletes from two teams will be practicing at 10am on Wednesday, August 21st and Thursday, August 22nd at the Cool Insuring Arena in Glens Falls.

Wednesday evenings in Shepard Park the Lake George Arts Project presents diverse, dynamic performers to entertain you. Paul Cebar Tomorrow Sound is a Milwaukee-based band takes their cue from dance bands of western Louisiana, New Orleans soul, funk and blues.

Sing, dance, and flat-out enjoy some tunes in Shepard Park every Wednesday July through August with the Lake George Arts Project Summer Concert Series! The Lake George Arts Project presents high-quality, and diverse mix of performers. You will be entertained by all genres - Americana, Blues, Bluegrass, Country, Folk, Jazz, Rock, Zydeco - and everything in between.

A weekly farmers market with food trucks in downtown Glens Falls! The Thursday Market & Food Truck Corral is a combination farmers market, flea market, and craft market at the Shirt Factory in downtown Glens Falls. Foodies, crafters, deal-hunters, and more will love this cherished event in the city.

The Lake George Association is honored to present swimmer, and Board Trustee member Louise Rourke. With the introduction by Gwenne Rippon, daughter of Diane Struble. Ms. Rourke will present a program about her experience swimming the length of Lake George and the impact of polio on her life as well as others in our area.
