See North Creek lit up for the Holidays

Most of the lights will stay on during the ski season, so take a drive through town after a long day of skiing!

Santa will cruise down Main Street without other floats this year. Instead of meet and greets with Santa, children will be able to submit letters to him, and then the letters will be read out loud by Santa on YouTube so families can watch!

Homes and businesses will compete in a holiday decorating contest with cash prizes! There'll be an online map of the entries that you'll be able to see on the town's website. Displays must be within the town of Johnsburg in order to be eligible for prizes, but they can still be added to the online map! To register for the contest please call Town Hall at 518-251-2421 ext 2, or email Joann Morehouse at

North Creek Railway Depot Museum will be offering walk-through tours of "Santa's Christmas Caboose!" Inside the caboose will be a model train with a miniature village, while the exterior will have a festive light display! The caboose will be open to the public for tours Friday, December 4th from 5:00pm - 7:00pm, and Saturday December 5th 4:00pm - 6:00pm. If you can't stop by those days, don't worry tours will also be offered during the same time frames on December 11th & 12th! There will be a collection bin for donating items that are needed by many families in the area, such as: toothpaste, soap, feminine hygiene products, and other non-food essentials.

COVID-19 safety guidelines, like social distancing and mask wearing, will be in place.

Fresh Christmas trees will also be available in North Creek!
