Lake George and the surrounding area welcomes 2019 Law Enforcement Weekend.

Law Enforcement Officer Weekend welcomes all law enforcement officers, active and retired, and their families from across the nation and Canada to Lake George for a fun, relaxing, and informative weekend. The weekend was developed by Officer Austin Glickman while a student in the New York City Police Academy. Law enforcement officers and their families are encouraged to relax, unwind, and meet fellow officers.

Officers and families can take part in seminars, social hours, and family activities, including a Father's Day boat cruise, Six Flags Great Escape & Hurricane Harbor, Wild West Ranch and Adirondack Eagle Flyer Zip Line, and Lake George Lanes and Games, a band concert, shopping at the outlets, and much more! LEO Weekend also features a memorial service honoring all law enforcement officers.

Friday - June 14th

Friday's LEO Weekend Event Line Up:

  • Registration in the Fort William Henry lobby begins at 10:00am and continues until 5:00pm - Grab your welcome bag at the Fort William Henry lobby and go enjoy Lake George! Hit the beach, have a meal, and relax in the sun.
  • Vendor Village takes place in Shepard Park on Canada Street all weekend - rain or shine. Today they will be open from 12:00pm until 6:00pm. Featuring a variety of products, goods, services, and vendors specific to the Law Enforcement Community.
  • Police Car Show is on the front lawn of FWH - Take photos and get hands-on experience with vintage police cars.
  • Meet & Greet on the FWH veranda from 1:00pm until 3:00pm. Take this opportunity to catch up with colleagues, families and friends and meet some new ones. Bring patches and challenge coins for trade.
  • Seminar 1 ~ 3:00pm - Law Enforcement Response and Recognition of Homemade Explosives presented by John Nicastro.
  • Seminar 2 ~ 4:00pm - Winning the Battle; Emotional Issues Faced by LEOs presented by Jacklyn Person.
  • Opening Ceremonies begin at 5:45pm and continue until 10:00pm in Shepard Park on Canada Street. There will be a parade, concert, Memorial Service, 50/50 raffle, bounce house, lawn games, vintage police car display. Food truck and beer tent.
Saturday - June 15th

Saturday's LEO Weekend Event Line Up:

  • Registration in the FWH lobby from 9:00am-12:00pm ~ Welcome to the Queen of the American Lakes. You now have your welcome bag -  go enjoy Lake George! Hit the beach, have a bite to eat, and relax in the sun.
  • Police Car Show on the front lawn of FWH from 9:00am-4:00pm - Take photos and get a hands-on experience with vintage police cars.
  • Vendor Village takes place in Shepard Park on Canada Street all weekend - rain or shine. Today they will be open from 9:00am until 6:00pm. Featuring a variety of products, goods, services, and vendors specific to the Law Enforcement Community.
  • Mini Golf Tournament at Goony Golf located just south of Lake George Village at the intersection of State Routes 9 and 9N South. Stop by anytime and take part in the children, teens or adult competitions. Prizes for the top finishers. Please Note ~ you MUST register for the tournament on the Registration page.
  • Seminar 3 ~ 10:00am - The Conquer Program: Suicide Awareness and Intervention for LEOs  presented by Dr. Stephen Wakschal.
  • Seminar 4 ~ 11:00am - More Than Mere Survival presented by Houston Gass.
  • Pistol Shooting Competition ~ 11:00am - 3:00pm. Bring your own pistol and ammunition to the Hudson Falls Shooting Range, 1420 State Route 196. All participants MUST be Active or Retired Law Enforcement, you will be REQUIRED to show proper ID. This is your chance to prove you're the top marksman! Top prize is $250; Gold, Silver and Bronze medals will also be awarded. Please Note ~ you MUST register for the tournament on the Registration page. View the Pistol Competition rules.
  • K9 Demonstration will take place from 5:00pm until 6:00pm on the back lawn of Fort William Henry. This will be educational and Fun! A variety of agencies will present their highly competent K9 personnel.
  • Happy Hour ~ 5:00pm - 7:00pm Enjoy the beautiful view from the Fort William Henry veranda.
  • Night on the Town ~ 7:00pm. Take some time and stroll along Canada Street - there are a variety of family friendly activities - arcades, bumper cars, a wax museum, a carousel, ice cream shops, and much more.
  • Comedy Show & Tap Takeover fundraiser ~ 7:45pm until 11:00pm at the Lake George Beach Club at 3 Lower Montcalm Street. Professional comedians will be entertaining and you'll be laughing. A 50/50 raffle, silent auctions, and great live music. All money raised will support LEO Weekend 2020.
Sunday - June 16th

Sunday's LEO Weekend Event Line Up:

  • 3K Family Color Run ~ from 9:00am until 11:00am at Fort William Henry. Entrants will walk, jog or run through a course full of color explosions and colored powder bombs, water balloons, super soakers, slip and slides and some more! Please Note ~ you MUST register for the Run on the Registration page.
  • Vendor Village takes place in Shepard Park on Canada Street all weekend - rain or shine. Today they will be open from 9:00am until 6:00pm. Featuring a variety of products, goods, services, and vendors specific to the Law Enforcement Community.
  • Father's Day Boat cruise aboard the historic MV Mohican, Lake George Steamboat Co, 57 Beach Road ~ 11:00am - 1:30pm. You can't beat a cruise on the Lake - beautiful scenery with Captain's historical narration; live music, luncheon, and 50/50 raffle. Please Note ~ registered attendees MUST register for the cruise on the Registration page. Guests MUST register also.
