Enjoy live classical music from the comfort of your car!
The Lake George Music Festival presents a 2 day series of Drive-in concerts, held at the Lake George Festival of Commons, featuring world-class classical musicians from major orchestras and our nation’s conservatories! We'll begin parking cars at 6:00pm, and the concerts will begin at 7:30pm rain or shine.
There will be different and unique programs each night! Programs to feature Beethoven Quintet for Piano and Winds, Schubert “Trout” Quintet, Rubinstein Octet Op.9, and more! All performed by accomplished world soloists, graduates of prestigious schools such as Juilliard, Curtis, Yale, Rice University, Carnegie Mellon, and members of major orchestras such as the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, Malaysian Philharmonic, and the Buffalo Philharmonic.
The audience will have the option to either listen to the amplified performance, or tune into the live and high quality audio feed (on FM radio) to play through their car's sound system. Performances will also be visually enhanced with dual screen video! Concert programs will be distributed digitally on the large screen or available to view on your Smartphone or Tablet.
Cars will be parked every other car and in single rows for social distancing, and we encourage guests to attend with members of your household. Guests may watch the concerts from their car, or bring their own chairs to place within arm's length of your vehicle. We will sell “passes” for each concert sold at $25 per vehicle. Vehicles may contain the legal limit of individuals. We recommend purchasing your pass(es) in advance online, or you may purchase them at the gate. Those who order their passes online will have no contact with the staff or musicians. Your car's license plate will be scanned, and then you will be directed where to park by our crowd control staff. Cars will be directed to vacate the premises immediately after curtain and will not be allowed to linger. We encourage attendees to use the restroom prior to arrival, however we will have sanitized restrooms on site. Attendees must wear an appropriate face covering when walking to and from restrooms.
