After the Tone is a unique multidisciplinary, improvisational, multimedia installation which will include two separate live performances created by the artist collective Seven Count: Angus McCullough, Jake Nussbaum and Adam Tinkle.
- The opening reception on Saturday, September 14th at 6:30pm in neighboring Shepard Park on Canada Street, Seven Count will play a variety of instruments ~ trumpet, saxophone, guitar, and percussion. Audiences will go on a genre-bending improvisatory trip they created specifically for the Courthouse Gallery. Please note ~ this performance will take place between sets of Jazz at the Lake ~ Lake George Jazz Weekend.
- The closing reception is on Saturday, October 19th from 4pm until 6pm. At 5pm a live performance that is the culmination of content gathered during this 5-week exhibition.
The Lake George Arts Project was established in 1977. Their mission is to bring exposure to professional and emerging artists, provide quality arts programming for the residents and visitors of the Lake George region in New York's Adirondacks. Presenting year round exhibitions in the Courthouse Gallery; the Bands 'n Beans Chili and Music Fest in March signaling the beginning of Spring; the Spring for the Arts Golf Tournament in May; the Summer Sunset Cruise in June. In September Jazz at the Lake ~ Lake George Jazz Weekend takes place featuring world-renown as well as local and regional Jazz musicians.
