Attend the 60th Maple Jack Wax Party, a sumptuous feast, with gift basket raffles and live music, held at town hall, with all proceeds donated to the American Cancer Society. Serving begins at 3 and continues until all are served.
Celebrate NYS Maple Weekends with us at our all-you-can-eat buffet. Dessert is old-fashioned jack wax, made from pure local maple syrup. Jack wax parties have been held by North Country folks forever, and this confection, it has been said, probably originated with the Native Americans. Musical entertainment by area musicians.
Our Maple Sugar Party has continued the tradition of hosting the meal as a fundraiser for the American Cancer Society to help those with this disease. Be sure to visit our maple producers, Valley Road Maple Farm, Adirondack Gold Maple Farm, Toad Hill Maple Farm and Hidden Hollow Maple Farm during Thurman Maple Days. Thurman is located just 20 minutes from Lake George via I-87, Adirondack Northway. Take exit 23 to New York State Route 9 to State Route 418 and follow the sign posts to see all the sites celebrating spring and maple season!
