4th of July Festivities

Celebrating Independence Day in the Lake George Area? Here are all the spectacular firework displays, local live music, and other red, white, and blue-themed events to attend during the holiday weekend.


Events w/ Fireworks:

Music on the Mountain – July 1

Join the fun at West Mountain’s Music on the Mountain Summer Concert with Jukebox Rebellion’s tunes from 6 to 10 p.m. You can also expect fireworks, scenic chairlift rides, an outdoor beer garden, arts & crafts projects for kids, and more. Admission tickets must be purchased for entry; children six and under are free.

Family Fireworks Cruises on the Horicon & Adirondac – July 1, 2, & 4

Watch the show from the best seats in the house aboard the Horicon and the Adirondac during a Family Fireworks Cruise. Lake George Waterfront Cruises offers front row viewing of the excitement from their historic ships throughout the holiday weekend.

Schedule:

  • The Adirondac sails July 1 & 2 at 9 p.m. and July 4 at 9:05 p.m.
  • The Horicon sails July 4 at 9 p.m.

July Fourth Weekend Fireworks Cruises – July 1, 2, & 4

Climb aboard one of three iconic Lake George Steamboat Company’s ships for an experience like no other during a July Fourth Weekend Fireworks Cruise. Watch fireworks light up the sky over Lake George from on the water this Independence Day weekend.

Schedule:

  • The Mohican sails July 1 from 9 p.m. to 10:15 p.m. and July 2 & 4 from 9:10 p.m. to 10:25 p.m.
  • The Minne Ha-Ha sails July 2 & 4 from 9 p.m. to 10:15 p.m.
  • The Lac du Saint Sacrement sails July 2 & 4 from 9:15 p.m. to 10:35 p.m.

Coca-Cola July 4th Fest – July 2, 3, & 4

Enjoy plenty of thrills at the Six Flags Great Escape’s Coca-Cola July 4th Fest. Fireworks will blast off while you enjoy the rides and an ice-cold Coca-Cola in the park. Don’t forget to snap a picture at the Coca-Cola photo wall to remember summer’s biggest party!

Glens Falls Dragons Baseball Home Game – July 2

Enjoy America’s pastime during America’s birthday weekend! The Glens Falls Dragons will be hosting the Oneonta Outlaws on July 2, in addition to a 4th of July family-friendly extravaganza featuring live music and a fireworks show. The game is scheduled to start at 7 p.m. Kids, make sure to bring your glove – you might catch a foul ball!

Johnsburg Independence Day Celebration – July 2

Wave your American flag as the floats pass by! Johnsburg’s Independence Day Celebration starts at 1 p.m. with loads of entertainment and family-friendly fun including a parade, live bands and One Smooth DJ’s PARTY Experience, food vendors, kids’ activities, and pony rides – all concluding with a fireworks show at dusk.

Summer Pops Concert – July 3 *VENUE CHANGE*

The Glens Falls Symphony presents its popular, family-friendly 4th of July celebration! Due to inclement weather the concert will now be held at Cool Insuring Arena. The Ben Osborn Memorial Fund will be handing out books for children of all ages from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. as part of the Youth Arts Experience, and The Rotary Club of Glens Falls will be serving their famous “bread dough” along with hamburgers, tater tots, veggie burgers, hot dogs, and cold beverages from 4 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Fireworks are still on for 9:30 p.m. at Crandall Park!

Hague Music in the Park – July 3 *RESCHEDULED*

A special addition to the Town of Hague’s Music in the Park Concert Series lineup is this Independence Day celebration featuring food trucks serving up at 4:30 p.m., music from the Barkeater Band starting at 6:30 p.m. and fireworks blasting off at 9:15 p.m. Originally scheduled for July 3, this celebration has been moved to July 17 due to inclement weather, but all other details will remain the same.

July 4th Fireworks in Lake George Village – July 4

Spend the 4th in the Village of Lake George and enjoy the fireworks display over the lake from almost anywhere. You won’t be able to stop oohing and aahing during this impressive show that kicks off at 9:30 p.m.

Bolton Independence Day Celebration – July 4

Head to Bolton Landing for an Independence Day bonanza – an evening of music, magic, and fireworks! Roger’s Memorial Park is the place to be for festivities from 7 to 10 p.m., including spectacular fireworks set to go off at 9:30 p.m.

Town of Chester Fireworks – July 8

Your 4th of July festivities don’t have to end on July 5th. Continue the celebration into the following weekend with the Town of Chester’s 9 p.m. fireworks show at the Chester Town Hall. This is one show you won’t want to miss!

Food Truck Fridays on the Pond – June 30

Stop by Brant Lake’s Food Truck Fridays on the Pond between 5 and 8 p.m. for some local live music from the Willie Playmore Band and tasty fare from a variety of new and returning food truck vendors. This recurring event takes place every Friday from June 30 through September 1.

The Park Theater’s Summer Series Concerts at Crandall Park – June 30

The Park Theater’s Summer Series Concerts kick off Friday, June 30. Start the long weekend with a free concert at the Crandall Park Bandshell. Enjoy some tunes from The Ladies beginning at 7 p.m. This series consists of a free concert from local musicians every Friday in July.

Adirondack Bluegrass Festival – July 1 & 2

The Barn at French Mountain will host this two-day live music festival highlighting old timey traditional and modern contemporary bluegrass players from upstate New York. The Adirondack Bluegrass Festival will also feature over 100 vendors, food trucks, a cornhole tournament, and more. Single Day passes and Weekend passes are available; children 12 and under are free with a parent/guardian.

Bolton Art & Craft Festival – July 1 & 2

The first weekend of the Bolton Art & Craft Festival is July 1 and July 2. This event takes place three different weekends throughout the summer and fall and features up to 25 artisans and craft vendors at the Bolton Landing Farmer’s Market at 5 Cross St. Other weekends include September 2 & 3 and October 7 & 8.

Glens Falls Dragons Baseball Home Games – July 1 & 4

Garnet Hill Lodge July 4th Weekend – July 2

The Log House Restaurant at Garnet Hill Lodge will be the hub for this July 4th weekend extravaganza. From 3 to 7 p.m. enjoy discounted mountain bike rentals, disc golf rentals, and complimentary lawn games. The highlight of this celebration is the delicious BBQ buffet and Dave Hyde performing live. Stony Creek Music in the Park – July 4

Round out your 4th of July festivities by rocking out to Randy Rollman’s All Star Revue at the Stony Creek Town Park. Music in the Park is a Tuesday night concert series with local bands “taking the stage” at 7 p.m. from July 4 through August 29. This is the perfect opportunity to gather family and friends for an Independence Day cookout with a great live soundtrack.
