The always popular and entertaining Lake George Music Festival is a premier musical arts festival. Musicians of professional orchestras, students of music conservatories, faculty, and alumni from many prestigious institutions, emerging young professionals and celebrated artists from around the world perform in the Lake George Area in New York’s Southern Adirondacks.
Live festival recordings have been featured on a variety of radio programs including NPR’s Performance Today.
The President and the Board of Directors of the Lake George Music Festival invite you to visit and enjoy all the performances presented.
Below is the schedule for the 2023 Lake George Music Festival.
- This exclusive event is only open to passholders, host families, board members, and donors; and of course all our musicians and staff! Join us for some delicious food and drink at the beautiful newly renovated Carriage House! Opening remarks by founders Alexander Lombard, Barbora Kolarova, and Roger Kalia as well as other Lake George community leaders. FREE with festival pass or 3-day pass. No single tickets available.
- Join us as we attempt to recapture the romance of Lake George’s Gilded Age days. Featuring performances by our fellowship scholarship recipients in support of our scholarship fund. $35. Not included in a Festival Pass/3-Day pass.
August 9 – 7:30pm – Festival Symphony Orchestra
This concert will take place at Shepard Park.
- Celebrate opening night with guest ensemble ARKAI and the Lake George Music Festival Symphony Orchestra. Roger Kalia, conducts. (Free to attend)
- Performed by our exceptional roster of mentors, artists in residence, and fellows. Featuring guest artist Ani Kavafian, violin. $20. (Lake George Thursday Night Fireworks go off at 9:30pm)

August 13 – 1:00pm – PIANO MANIA!
- A fun afternoon piano recital featuring our exceptional roster of piano mentors, artists in residence, and fellows. $20.

August 15 – 5:00pm – Festival Happy Hour
This concert will take place at the Fort William Henry’s Tankard Tavern.
- With Music Director and Conductor, Roger Kalia. Grab a cocktail or glass of wine and learn more about the festival’s 2023 orchestra repertoire. FREE with festival pass or 3-day pass.
- Performed by our exceptional roster of mentors, artists in residence, and fellows. Featuring guest artist William Purvis, horn. $20.
- Performed by our exceptional roster of mentors, artists in residence, and fellows. $20.
- By the fellows of our Composition Institute directed by Alyssa Weinberg. New pieces for string quartet performed by the Rhythm Method. $10.
August 17 – 6:30pm – Pre-performance discussion

August 17 – 7:30pm – The Grand Finale Symphony Orchestra concert
- Conducted by Roger Kalia. Program to feature the world premiere performance of Sheridan Seyfried’s new Symphony and Stravinsky’s Firebird Suite. $30. WMHT’s Rob Brown to give opening remarks and curtain call speech. (Lake George Thursday Night Fireworks go off at 9:30pm)
