The Lake George Area has abundant bodies of water. Camping on the shores of our Adirondack lakes and rivers is a tradition of the Original Vacation. There’s nothing more invigorating than waking up and falling asleep to the sound of lapping waves or a rippling stream.

Waterfront camping opportunities in the Lake George Area are abundant. These beautiful campsites are scattered throughout the region on the shores of Lake George, along the Schroon River, Loon Lake, Schroon Lake, and more. For a truely unique waterfront camping experience, consider booking an island campsite on Lake George!

Available as both public and private sites, waterfront camp sites offer endless possiblities for water lovers. You can live the summer tradition of tent camping and fall asleep to the whispers of a rippling river. Idle the day away with your toes in the water while enjoying a view of the majestic Adirondack Mountains. Fish the pure waters in hopes of feisty smallmouth bass or a flurry of perch. Park your RV in a waterfront campground and explore the Adirondacks without sacrificing important amenities. Many waterfront campgrounds are conveniently located close to a variety of area restaurants, family-friendly hiking trails, and top attractions.
