Fort William Henry is located in the heart of Lake George, making it a perfect addition to your time in the village. Next to Fort William Henry, you'll find Around the World Miniature Golf, which features two separate golf courses, one taking you around the world, and the other taking you through the United States.
After exploring the world through mini golf, cross the street for a cruise on Lake George. Both the Lake George Steamboat Company and Lake George Shoreline Cruises offer a variety of cruise options on the Queen of American Lakes. You can also hop aboard on most Thursday nights in the summer to enjoy Lake George's famous fireworks show from the water! Other options include brunch, lunch, dinner, and short sight-seeing cruises.
If you want to relax on the beach, Lake George has plenty to choose from. On the southern tip alone, Lake George offers four public beaches. Usher Park on the eastern side, Million Dollar Beach as well as Dog Beach on the southern tip, and Shepard Park Beach on the western side are all open to the public. No matter which you choose, you'll find amazing scenery.
Interested in an outdoor adventure? The Prospect Mountain Hiking Trail is a challenging hike with a stunning view at the top. If you're not interested in hiking but still want a gorgeous view, you can drive up the Prospect Mountain Veterans Memorial Highway for $10. The drive will put you at the summit of the hiking trail so that you can enjoy the magnificent mountains from the comfort of your car.
A short drive from the village of Lake George, the Lake George Factory Outlets is a must stop shopping excursion. Whether you're looking for high-end deals or want to spend the afternoon window shopping, there's something for you!
After a long day of Lake George fun, there's a variety of dining options to check out! The town is full of pizza shops, so if you're looking for a slice or a whole pie, Lake George is the place. Town favorites include Giuseppe's Pizzeria, Mezzaluna's Pizzeria, Pizza Jerks, and Capri Pizzeria. Pizza not your thing? There are many other options in and out of the village.
If you're ever in the area and looking for breakfast, look no further than Caffe Vero. Using beans that they roast on site, all of their coffee offerings are sure to satisfy. Their breakfast is out of this world, yet still affordable. They also offer a large selection of baked goods and a lunch menu. Staying in town, the Adirondack Pub & Brewery offers great food options with their own house-brewed beers and sodas. For more in town fun, visit the Adirondack Winery as well as the Lake George Distilling Company. Both offer tastings and sell their products at their storefronts in the village. 163 Taproom also offers 16 rotating craft beers on tap in addition to an excellent food menu. If you're looking for some competition, they also have free shuffleboard!
While the village of Lake George has great food options, if you have time, it's worth driving down Route 149 to Bistro LeRoux. Offering sophisticated Adirondack cuisine with a rotating seasonal menu, their flavors will make your taste buds dance. They offer full and half-plate options for most meals and have a children's menu for picky eaters. They are also extremely accommodating to any food restrictions you may have.
