Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, these activities are following strict social distancing guidelines and best practices to keep you and their staff safe. Please keep in mind that some rules and restrictions may be in place for the benefit of you and others!


Beaches

Several beaches are open throughout the Lake George Area.

Bolton Landing:

Rogers Memorial Beach and Veterans Memorial Beach will both be open on weekends from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Both beaches will be maintaining a reduced capacity. Social distancing and masks are required when guests cannot maintain a 6-foot distance.

Activities/areas such as the picnic area, pavilions, playgrounds, volleyball, basketball, and tennis courts are off limit. Walking through the picnic areas is permitted but no portable grills or tables are allowed.

The kayak launch at Veterans Memorial Park is open. Public docks are open.

Beaches will remain open on weekends until June 25th.

Lake George:

Million Dollar Beach will be open with social distancing restrictions and limited capacity in place. Dog Beach and Shepard Park Beach remain closed.

Boat Launches, Boat Rentals, and Kayak Rentals

The boat launches and wash stations at Norowal Marina in Bolton Landing and Million Dollar Beach in Lake George are both open! If you have your own boat, you're able to launch.

Marinas are renting boats! Please expect social distancing guidelines, face masks, and sanitizing practices to be in place at Lake George Area marinas.

Kayak rentals are also open. Please expect social distancing guidelines, face masks, and sanitizing practices to be in place at Lake George Area kayak rental locations.

Camping

Private campgrounds, including RV campgrounds, are open and operating at 50% occupancy. Some activities and amenities may be restricted. Please maintain social distancing and follow best practices if you choose to go camping.

Fishing Charters

Fishing charters are open. Whether you're new to fishing or a seasoned veteran, a fishing charter is a great way to land a keeper. Please expect social distancing guidelines and best practices to be in place on fishing charters.

Golf

Several golf courses are open in the Lake George Area. These challenging Adirondack courses are perfect for tightening up your swing, working your putts, or just whacking a few balls into the woods.

Please note: There are currently restrictions on golf carts in the Lake George Area. Golfers are limited to only one (1) person per golf cart. If you golf, be prepared to walk the course.

Hiking

The majority of the hiking trails are open in the Lake George Area. There's no better way to explore the Adirondacks. Please follow social distancing guidelines and best practices while hiking.

Please note: the Pinnacle in Bolton Landing and the Schumann Preserve at Pilot Knob in Lake George both remain closed.

Horseback Riding

Visitors to the Lake George Area can now go horseback riding. Explore a beautiful trail during a guided ride led by an experienced instructor. Please expect social distancing guidelines, including wearing a mask, to be in place.

Parasailing

Go for a parasailing ride in the Lake George Area. Fly high above the water and treeline to discover amazing views of the Adirondack Mountains. If you do choose to parasail, expect to follow social distancing guidelines and best practices.

Restaurants and Retail Outlets

Many restaurants are serving takeout, pickup, and delivery food throughout the Lake George Area. Some waterfront restaurants are offering dock service for boaters.
