Rent a boat from a marina and cruise the waters in the Lake George Area! Be the captain of the boat and go for a swim, fish, stop at a waterfront restaurant, or just explore and take in the scenery around you. It's never a bad day on the lake.
If you'd like to get on a boat and have someone else take the wheel, book a private boat tour! Sit back and unwind while you cruise along the beautiful waters in the Lake George Area. This is always a fun experience for friends and families of all ages.
How about a treat to satisfy your sweet tooth AND cool you off? There are several places in the Lake George Area that serve delicious ice cream. Martha's Dandee Creme has 12 daily flavors of soft serve ice cream that are switched out weekly. This Lake George legend was even featured on the Today Show! Cooper's Cave Ale Company has some of the best soft serve and hard ice cream you can get your hands on. All of their hard ice cream flavors are made right on-site. Grab a scoop or try one of their super sundaes! Try an ice cream float or an egg cream at Main Street Ice Cream Parlor! They also have several parlor specialties like the Dusty Road Sundae, the Dirty Fisherman, and the White Water Raft. At The Crossroads you can try their tasty soft serve, or one of their classic sundaes like the Night Crawler and the Crossroads S'more!
Kayaking and canoeing are fun ways to get out on the water! Have you ever tried stand-up paddle boarding? This could be the summer you try it! Go at your own pace and take in the stunning scenery with the Adirondack Mountains as your backdrop. There are several places in the Lake George Area that offer kayak, canoe, and stand-up paddle board rentals....so you could you even try all three! Own your own kayak or canoe? Great! Grab your paddle and take it to a public launch to be on our way.
Looking for an activity that'll get your adrenaline pumping? Book a whitewater rafting adventure with a rafting company in our area! If kicking back and letting the river do the work is more your speed, reserve a tubing trip for a lazy trip down a river.
Pick a spot and lay out your towel on one of several beaches in the Lake George Area. You're close enough to the water to run in for a dip when it gets too hot!
If you'd like a more thrilling way to beat the heat (while catching some air!) check out the water sports that are offered on the lake! Whether it's jet skiing, efoiling, or water skiing, you're sure to have an exciting time while staying cool on those hot summer days.
