When the sunlight in a day begins to get shorter, and that first inch or two of snow falls to the ground, the Lake George Area transforms into a winter destination like no other.

Winter in the Lake George Area is a Winter Wonderland. The lakes and streams that dot the region become ice fishing hotspots that can land you big lake trout or a flurry of perch. Those frozen lakes double as ice skating rinks that are perfect for pick-up hockey. The miles of snow covered trails at the area’s skiing and snowboarding mountains are some of the steepest and most exhilarating runs in the East. Cross-country ski trails are groomed for classic and skate and some trails are lighted so you can explore at night. Snowshoe on just about any hiking trail for a winter trek you won’t soon forget.

All over the area, winter is redefined as a season of Adirondack activity. This year, come see the snowier side of the Lake George Area.
