Fall Festivals

Around here – we like to celebrate the change of seasons!  It’s harvest time so food and beer are on the menu along with music, art, retail therapy, film, and balloons!

Here’s a list of all the Fall Festivals we know you’ll love!

45th Annual Adirondack Balloon Festival

Over the course of the four-day festival, crowds gather to watch as up to 100 colorful hot air balloons launch into the sky and float over the mountains and fields of the Southern Adirondacks. The Festival includes an arts and crafts fair, live music, and food vendors.

World’s Largest Garage Sale

For 40 years, Warrensburg homeowners throughout town have set up yard sales. They are joined by hundreds of vendors from across the country selling new, used and antique items. The event draws nearly 100,000 visitors each year and takes on a festival atmosphere with live music and food trucks along Main Street.

25th Annual Taste of the North Country

More than three dozen area restaurants offer a taste of their featured dishes at this annual festival held in the Glens Falls City Park. Coupons for samples are $1, with restaurants collecting between 1 and 4 tickets for each taste.

Lake George Village Oktoberfest

A portion of Lake George Village closes to traffic for this Columbus Day Weekend Bavarian celebration. A festival tent erected in the street is the center of activities with oom-pah bands, a dance floor, a beer wagon, and steaming pans of German-style sausages complete with all the fixings. The festival includes carnival rides, arts and craft vendors, games, and competitions for children and adults.

West Mountain Fall Festival

Autumn family fun includes hayrides, a costume bike race, and the best costume contest. We have live music and zorbing! Children’s activities include a bounce house, petting zoo and pony rides. There will also be local and regional crafts available and gourds and pumpkins too.

Thurman Fall Farm Tour

Visit a working farm for the annual self-guided tour. These mountain farms open their barn doors to the public and offer a glimpse into the day of a farmer. Taste savory products ranging from award-winning goat cheeses to maple sugar candy. The Farm Tour includes children’s activities and live music.

Gore Mountain Harvest Festival

Hearty fall food and beverages including bratwurst and kraut, mac and cheese, sausage-n-peppers, pulled pork sandwiches and many other choices. Enjoy a scenic gondola skyride, children’s entertainment, games and activities including crafts, pumpkin field games, pony rides, awesome inflatables and more. The downhill mountain biking trails, climbing wall, bungee trampoline, disc golf and mini golf attractions will all be up and running.

Adirondack Brewery Oktoberfest

Dress in your best Oktoberfest attire for this 14th annual event featuring crowd-pleasing ales and guest micro-brews, German food, games and live music.

Adirondack Film Festival

The AFF screens over 60 films in one weekend to thousands of viewers annually.  AFF features panel discussions, a free family series, exciting parties & special events, and a selection of indie and major feature films all taking place on five screens in downtown Glens Falls.

LARAC Fall Festival

This well-established, pre-holiday shopping event features juried fine art and crafts. With over 75 artisans making handmade unique products such as pottery, fiber, jewelry, culinary items, wood, photography, plus much more, you’re sure to find that special something. Enjoy live music, food concessions, and not-for-profit information tables.
