Town of Hague

Hague and the community of Silver Bay are located in the eastern Adirondacks of New York State in Warren County. Town of Horicon

Horicon is a hidden treasure comprised of two hamlets, Brant Lake and Adirondack, and situated a bit off the beaten path. Horicon, once a sleepy country town, is being discovered as one of nature’s little gems. Brant Lake, Schroon Lake, Schroon River and a myriad of quiet ponds and creeks are accessible by public boat launches and winding country roads. A quaint general store in Adirondack and a public beach on Schroon Lake await you. The picturesque Mill Pond in Brant Lake is the perfect spot for a stroll, picnic or swim at the beach. Town of Johnsburg

The Town of Johnsburg, the largest in Warren County, is a sensational four-season destination, which consists of seven hamlets, each boasting a variety of venues and events for all ages to enjoy. Take a ride into history and enjoy a scenic view of the winding Hudson River aboard the Upper Hudson River Railroad. Then go back in time with a visit the historic North Creek Depot Museum. Enjoy a leisurely tour of garnet mines located at the famous Barton Mines in North River. If running is more your speed, sign up to participate in our annual Race the Train event, an 8.4 mile foot race that traverses the shaded River Road parallel to the Hudson River. Relax and take in the melodious strumming of the Annual Bluegrass Festival in historic Ski Bowl Park, which takes place in August. The region provides miles and miles of hiking trails for various levels of ability. Take in the spectacular fall foliage with a scenic ride on the Northwoods Gondola at Gore Mountain Ski Center. Town of Lake George

Beauty and excitement await visitors to the Town of Lake George, well-known as a vacation haven for centuries. Once you’ve been to the top of Prospect Mountain for a breathtaking view of the Lake and mountains, as far away as Vermont and New Hampshire, you’ll understand why it is a popular place. Visit the Old Court House, built in 1845, which still has the original jail in the basement where (it is said) many of the “unhappy guests” still roam. It also houses a museum with war artifacts, a historical book store and library. Main Street is always a bustle as people love to spend time visiting the shops, boutiques, cafes and restaurants. In the evening, a walk along the waterfront is a must. Town of Lake Luzerne

Lake Luzerne has catered to visitors since President Grant, who came here for rest and recreation after the Civil War. Town of Queensbury

The Town of Queensbury, located in the foothills of the Adirondack Mountains, is known as the “Gateway to the Adirondack Region” and is a world famous vacation destination welcoming visitors from across the nation and around the globe. Town of Stony Creek

Stony Creek, known as the “Biggest Little Town in New York State” is located in the southwest corner of the Adirondack Park and is the smallest town in Warren County. Located about 30 miles from Glens Falls and Saratoga Springs and less than 25 miles from Lake George and Gore Mountain Ski Area, it’s closer then you think. Town of Thurman

From the Hudson River along our eastern boundary to thousands of Forever Wild acres on our west, visitors to Thurman are immersed in natural beauty. In winter, choose between fireside snuggling with a good book as snow blankets the landscape or suiting up for outdoor fun. Ski at nearby Gore Mountain, or ride the 188 miles of trails groomed by Thurman Connection Snowmobile Club. You can also try sledding, snow-shoeing or cross-country skiing. In March, Thurman’s maple producers host two “Maple Weekends” with open sugarhouses, sugaring demonstrations and tours, including samples and sales of delectable maple goodies of all descriptions. Thurman’s annual Sugar Party, an all-you-can-eat buffet topped off with traditional “Jackwax.” You can also tour Nettle Meadow Goat Farm and Cheese Company anytime of year. Spring brings additional outdoor adventure–rafting, canoeing and kayaking from WildWaters Outdoor Center or Beaver Brook Outfitters, or, for those with their own craft, the Hudson River can be accessed from the public launch on Route 418. Town of Warrensburg

Warrensburg is a year round community situated on the banks of the Schroon River. Known as the “Antique Capital of the Adirondacks” for its numerous antique shops, it is also home to some beautiful Bed & Breakfast properties, many of which are housed in historic structures. In addition, Warrensburg boasts of its beautiful, private campgrounds and you will be delighted to discover the many restaurants and diners along Main Street.
