Remembering our ancestors who gave their lives

The Lake George Battlefield Park (Fort George) Alliance invites all to join us to remember and honor the Four Unknown Soldiers of the Battle of Lake George 1755. The ceremony will begin at 10:30 am.

These are the oldest governmentally recognized Unknown American Soldiers in the United States, as far as we can determine. They are representative of all those others who died in this battle and others during the French and Indian War and Revolutionary War and are buried in unknown graves this area. At the conclusion of the ceremony there will be a musket salute to our fallen heroes.

Present will be members of the Lake George Fire Department, Lake George American Legion Post 374, Fort William Henry, Lake George Central School and the Lake George Battlefield (Fort George) Alliance.

A guided historical walk in the park follows the ceremony.
