Ice Fishing

From first-ice, (mid-January) through mid-February, anglers seek Northern Pike, Lake Trout and Landlocked Salmon. Jack Perch is the catch of choice after mid-February. Use great caution-be certain ice is solid & thick enough to hold you and your equipment weight. Be wary of "blue ice," (blue water can be seen through thin ice). Check with bait and tackle shops or use a guide.
