An enjoyable evening of music presented by the 70-member chorus conducted by Ms Penny Schiek.

The concert will explore the different uses of bells and voices. Bells performed an important role throughout history - a call to wake, to a feast, to work, to pray - and sometimes bells rang in times of crisis to come together.

The program features the Bells of Shalom ~ Adirondack Voices will present selections representing people’s struggles for freedom and social justice.

Selections will include a setting of a Walt Whitman poem, Song of Democracy; Testament of Freedom by Randall Thompson based on the writings of Thomas Jefferson; pieces for bells and chorus, Barcarole (Peace in the Storm) by Cota and My Chains are Gone (Amazing Grace) arranged by Joel Raney.

Adirondack Voices is the premier community chorus of the Adirondack Mountains. The chorus presents two concerts each year under Ms Penny Schiek and Mr Corey Cerullo.
