A true rider's rally, this is the beginning of the riding season and offers guided and self-guided rides through picturesque historic communities.

Americade week specializes in loads of fun and features the Americade Expo every day; a Fashion Show; the Tim Dyson FMX Stunt Show; Americade University Seminars; Ghost Tours of the historic grounds of Fort William Henry; Fireworks Cruise and concerts featuring one of the most famous Southern Rock bands of all time ~ Molly Hatchet; Commander Cody and the Mallett Brothers Band.

This is is a small sampling of Americade Week ~ a historic week in a historic part of the world. We hope you enjoy your stay in the Original Vacation destination and begin making your plans for your next great Americade.

Monday 11am-5pm The Amazing Ride

Take part in The Amazing Ride ~ a fun riding game to scenic areas in the region. We give you a clever clue, figure it out and you'll know where the next clue is in another town.

Collect a stamp from 5 communities for one chance at winning. Collect a stamp from all 7 communities and double your chances of winning a great prize from Scala Rider.

Each location is an interesting stop, so you'll enjoy each one. You have 5 days to visit selected towns using the clues you're provided, but it is possible to complete The Amazing Ride in one day. The Amazing Ride takes place Tuesday through Thursday from 9am-5pm and Friday from 9am-3pm.

 

Monday at 5:30pm and 8pm Tim Dyson MX Stunt Show

An Americade First ~ the Tim Dyson MX Stunt Show ~ an airborne motorcycle stunt show scaring and thrilling you as he performs a number of jaw-dropping tricks including the holy grail of tricks, the backflip!  If you miss the show tonight, you can catch him on Tuesday at  5pm and again on Wednesday at 5:30pm.

Monday 6:30-8pm Opening Celebration

An absolute must you cannot miss ~ Americade's Opening Celebration.

Under our Big Top Tent overlooking beautiful Lake George, enjoy live music, prizes, outstanding desserts, and amazing new entertainment. We have an all-new act, and you'll love his combination of humor and antics.

Dessert ticket holders will enjoy a terrific selection of a 3-layer Lemon Shortcake, a 3-layer Strawberry Shortcake, Chocolate Tiger Triple Cake, and a 3-layer Tuxedo Truffle cake. We also have gluten free choices, Chocolate Flourless Torte and Fresh Fruit. All accompanied by coffee and tea.

Monday 9-10:30pm Ghost Tours

We have as seen on TV's Ghost Hunters show (and beyond) Ghost Tours. Spirits come alive during this evening stroll. On the tour you will see skeletons and musket balls. The French and Indian era Fort grounds features so much history, you may encounter a few ghosts. Our Ghost Tours takes place Tuesday through Friday at the same time. The walking tour includes some short hills and stairs.

Tuesday 9am-9pm Vintage Motorcycle Garage

Be sure to check out the Vintage Motorcycle Garage, a very popular stop on your Americade to do list. Styling and technology from your childhood or maybe your parents' childhood! Ride the newest and best in motorcycling and see some of the classics from the 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s and 70s. Vintage Motorcycle Garage is here for the week at the same times.

Tuesday 7-8pm Mark Tuttle, Editor-in-Chief of Rider Magazine

Rider Magazine is one of the most influential motorcycle publications in the United States and we are pleased to have their famed Editor-in-Chief, Mark Tuttle here for a great night of stories about what goes on behind-the-scenes in motorcycle media.

As editor since 1989 he has decades of experiences with motorcycle tests that went wrong, rides that went surprisingly right, and everything in between. This is a rare opportunity to hear from-the-horses-mouth the REAL stories that go on that never make it to print.

From his entertaining motorcycle media tales, he'll share his personal riding experiences that made him (and perhaps will make you) a better rider.

Wednesday 7-8am Coffee Club with Fred Rau

Time to Rise and Shine with Fred Rau ~ grab a cuppa, swap stories and make new friends or catch up with some old ones BUT make sure you share some laughs!

Fred Rau is the winner of the AMA Most Valued Person in Motorcycling.

Wednesday 6-8pm Country Shindig

You really don't want to miss the Country Shindig ~ a big fun night with live music by a great band who will be playing newer country tunes. A requirement for the evening is you MUST get up and DANCE!

The Trick Roping is gonna be a hoot ~ and ~ you will be involved.

Enjoy the meal of 1/2 BBQ Chicken; BBQ Beef Brisket; Carolina Pulled Pork; garden salad; potato salad, and pasta salad.

Wednesday 6-8pm Cruise aboard the Lac du Saint Sacrement

This is a Must Do for any Americader ~ take an evening cruise on one of the most beautiful lakes in the world ~ the Queen of the American Lakes. Enjoy dinner with a group of people who share your love of motorcycling. It just doesn't get any better. This is an Americade memory you will cherish ~ sunset over the mountains.

We will also have live music to add to your enjoyment.

 

Wednesday 7-8pm Fred Rau

If you didn't take the cruise or find yourself at a loose end, why not stop by the Conference Center for featured speaker Fred Rau.

He shares some of his motorcycle knowledge and great humor ~ you will be entertained and shocked as he gives us a look at the good, the bad and the ugly ways motorcyclists have been portrayed in movies and television over the past 60 years.

Mr. Rau is the author of The Motorcycling Touring Bible and also received the MVP Award as a Most Valued Person in Motorcycling from the American Motorcyclist Association.

Wednesday 8-9pm Comedy Show featuring Alonzo Bodden

Alonzo Bodden is a motorcycle-enthusiast and hilarious comedian bringing good, clean humor about motorcycles and the world. You'll laugh so hard, you'll feel it the next day.

The opening act will be Ray Harrington. He was named Best Comedian by the Providence Phoenix, selected for Comedy Central's "Up Next" Showcase, and was a finalist in the Boston Comedy Festival as well as receiving other awards.

Thursday 7-8am Ladies Coffee Club

The Ladies Coffee Club is an informal and often funny, group of fellow women riders talking about things only women riders can identify with.

Hear the funniest responses to Is that your husband's bike?

Best bit of knowledge you'll learn is where the best bathrooms are at Americade.  

You'll find the common bond among women motorcyclists, and most importantly you'll make new friends. Although it does mean beginning your day early ~ you don't want to miss it.

Thursday ~ Adirondack Eagle Flyer Zip Line

Feeling more adventurous ~ do you want to fly?

Stop by the Adirondack Eagle Flyer Zip Line located at the Wild West Ranch, 5 Mill Road, Lake George. You will enjoy memorable and unsurpassed views of Lake George and the southern Adirondack Mountains.

From the summit of French Mountain, Adirondack Eagle Flyer Zip Line offers a one-of-a-kind experience. You will soar 125-feet and speed down nearly a 1,000-foot vertical drop at the rate of 58 miles per hour, reaching the bottom in just over 55 seconds! WHEW! Let's DO this again!

Thursday 9:30am Charity Poker Run

The Charity Poker Run departs from Roaring Brook Ranch, 2206 State Route 9N South, Lake George. Ride at your own pace as you travel an Adirondack scenic route.  

Be a Stud for charity and join the fun!

This is 7 card stud and you'll be eligible to win prizes! In addition to the prizes, trophies are available for AMA and non-AMA members. 

Also takes place on Friday.

Thursday 11:30pm-3:30pm Party on the Pier

Party on the Pier, the best-kept secret in town, takes place on the Lake George Steamboat Co Steel Pier, 57 Beach Road, Lake George.

This party is Open to All! We have live music, great food and drinks, and did we mention the Incredible Views!

Stash your gear at the free coat and helmet lockers and stroll on over. Then sit back and relax before you begin your next Americade adventure.

Party on the Pier also takes place Friday from 11:30pm-3:30pm and Saturday from 11:30am-3:00pm.

Thursday 6-7pm Americade Fashion Show

The Americade runway moves to Thursday night. See the motorcycle world 's latest and best fashions on stage at the Americade Fashion Show.

There are thousands of $ in door prizes from motorcycle manufacturers and top apparel companies, such as Harley-Davidson, Indian, Yamaha and others!

All fashions displayed on stage will be given away!

Word has gotten out ~ the Fashion Show door prizes rock!

Thursday 6-9pm Comedy Show with Ross Bennett and Nathan Macintosh

Headling tonight will be Ross Bennett a high-powered, award-winning performer who has headlined at comedy clubs worldwide. He has appeared on lots of TV shows including The Late Show with David Letterman, Comedy Central's Tough Crowd, and has performed at Evening at the Improv.

Opening the show is Nathan Macintosh who has performed at major comedy festivals. Some of his numerous appearances include the Halifax Comedy Festival; the Boston Comedy Festival, and the prestigious Just For Laughs Comedy Festival.

Thursday 7-8pm John Flores on Following George A Wyman

An evening of two tales spanning 113 years. In 1903 George A Wyman attempted something crazy. In Following George A Wyman, Retracing the First Transcontinental Road Trip John Flores will share his 2016 experiences as he followed the exact same route on a Zero DSR electric motorcycle.

Mr. Wayman became the first person to cross the country with a motorized vehicle by riding his motorcycle from San Francisco to New York City along train tracks (oh my gosh!) and dirt roads on his wooden spoked "motor bicycle."

His presentation includes truly amazing tales and stunning photos from both journeys.

Mr. Flores is a photojournalist for RoadRUNNER Magazine, known for their stunning imagery and engaging articles.

Thursday 9:30pm Festival of Lights

Festival of Lights will be begin and end at Fort William Henry, 48 Canada Street, Lake George.

The night is filled with color and action as the brilliantly lit bikes parade through the Village.

This is truly a site to see!

The decorative Lighting judging will take place at 10pm.

Friday 6:30-7:30pm Friday Night Spectacular Dinner

This dinner is better than ever as you enjoy a great menu and fun. Come by the Festival Commons at Charles R Wood Park, 17 West Brook Road, Lake George and enjoy.

The Friday Night Spectacular features the music of The Grift and Weekend Rock Gods. Stroll over to the Festival Commons at Charles R Wood Park, 17 West Brook Road, Lake George to catch the fun

The Grift entertains with everything from catchy original tunes and popular rock and roll, to bluegrass and country.

Weekend Rock Gods, with its musical roots in the 60s and 70s cover everything from Buddy Holly to the Beatles, from the Ronetts to Nancy Sinatra; lots of one-hit wonders and forgotten hits.

Saturday 11am Anericade Parade

The Americade Parade along Canada Street is one of the more popular events of the week.

Where else can you see motorcycles of all kinds, including many vintage bikes ~ at Americade of course!

Parade lineup begins at 10am and begins at 11am led by special dignitaries with special guests

Saturday is your Last Chance for the ongoing Americade events

It is Bikes, Beer and BBQ at the Festival Commons at Charles R Wood Park.

It is a Southern Rock night! Are you ready?

Who is one of the most famous Southern Rock bands of all time? You got this one ~ Molly Hatchet and they are here!

Entertaining as always as they bring their mixture of rock and roll, blues, country and gospel for one special evening. You remember Boogie No More, Dreams I'll Never See, Flirtin' with Disaster, and Gator Country. How many others can you rattle off? Not that it's a competition!

Commander Cody Band brought us some great hits including There's a Riot Goin' On; Hot Rod Lincoln; Big Mamou; San Antonio Rose and many more. As a leading road act of the mid 70s sharing tours and stages with Grateful Dead, New Riders of the Purple Sage and many more.

The Mallett Brothers Band comes to us from the back woods of Maine. They bring freewheeling, rocking outlaw style of country rock and a rare combination of lyrical hooks and foot-stomping instrumentals. Make sure you catch them at Americade, so you can say I saw them way back when...

There will be onsite food and beverage vendors. VIP seating is available, as well as general seating and covered seating.
