Balloonists from across the United States as well as internationally based pilots attend for the awe-inspiring views of the Southern Adirondacks.

Featuring a wide-array of balloons including special shapes. There is lots of family fun, activities and entertainment throughout the days of the Festival.

All Ballooning flight times including the lift-offs, Airport Moonglow and all activities are wind and weather permitting.

NO DOGS ALLOWED. Please leave your pets at home. This is for their safety and our visitors as well.

Please No drones or remote control aircraft are allowed and Please No Smoking!

 


Marshall Tucker Band

Sunday, September 24 at 3:00pm

Festival Commons in Lake George Village

Hailing from Spartanburg, South Carolina the LEGENDARY Marshall Tucker Band comes to town and will perform at the Festival Commons at Charles R Wood Park.

In the early '70s they pioneered Southern Rock ~ a blend of rock, rhythm and blues, jazz, country and gospel. As the saying goes, the rest is history.

Their vast repertoire includes 22 albums, 3 live albums and 11 compilation albums as well as garnering 4 hit singles on the Billboard country and 1 on the Gospel chart.

Gates will open at 3pm. Lawn chairs and blankets are welcome. A variety of vendors will be on site.

Vietnam Memorial Moving Wall

Thursday - Monday, September 21 -  25, 24 hours per day

Veterans Memorial Park in Bolton Landing

The Memorial Moving Wall is a half-sized replica of the Vietnam Veteran Memorial located in Washington, D.C. and has been touring the United States for over 30 years.

When John Devitt attended the 1982 dedication in Washington, he felt the positive power of the Wall and vowed to share that experience with those who may not have the opportunity to go to Washington. This moving museum provides a place for the public to gather, reminisce, find healing and learn about the Vietnam War.


Family Fun Festival to Celebrate 200th Anniversary of Lake George Steamboat Co.

Friday - Sunday, September 22 - 24 with events all weekend long

Lake George Steamboat Company

Our Family Fun Festival will take place on Saturday and Sunday from 11:00am - 2:00am.

We have lots of kids activities including bounce houses and inflatable obstacle courses, face painting and more fun.

We have live music and we will be featuring local farmers and artisans displaying and selling their wares in a farmers market atmosphere.

Plus special evening cruises!

Head to Rogers Memorial Park in Bolton Landing for the Bolton Live! Bands will play from noon until 10 p.m., providing tunes from various genres for you to get up and dance to. This event is FREE.

Ragnar Relay Adirondacks

Friday & Saturday, September 22 & 23, all day
Saratoga to Lake Placid

Not your average 10k, a half or even a marathon ~ this is Ragnar!

This Adirondack race is truly special. The course follows country roads with beautiful scenery, skirts the Hudson River, continues to Lake George Million Dollar Beach on the Beach Road ~ relax, rest and enjoy the sunset over Lake George.

Saturday the course takes you over Tongue Mountain north to southern Lake Champlain and you finish as the Champion you are ~ in Lake Placid.


Glens Falls Symphony: C'est la Vie!

The Glens Falls Symphony is proud to present C’est la Vie!, the opening concert for our 2017-18 season. The program of French music features Claude Debussy’s majestic La Mer (The Sea), the bright and exciting Roman Carnival Overture by Hector Berlioz, & Georges Bizet’s Symphony in C.


Adirondack Marathon Distance Festival

Saturday & Sunday, September 23 & 24, all day
Chestertown Municipal Center

Beautiful Adirondack autumnal scenery along the courses of the full and half marathon. The weekend includes two and four-person relays. 5k and 10k begin at Town of Chester Municipal Center. The Half begins in Adirondack finishing in Schroon Lake. Runners ages 4-12 run the 1k Children's Fun Run.
