Food-connoisseurs stroll from booth to booth tasting the area’s finest cuisine at the Adirondack Wine & Food Festival. Fall festivals abound with Oktoberfests, the Adirondack Balloon Festival and the World’s Largest Garage Sale drawing huge crowds every autumn. Even winter can’t stop the annual events. Winter Carnivals and Ice Bars pop-up all over the region to entertain those who brave the winter weather.

Hudson River Whitewater Derby

Stay tuned for 2018 event information! The Johnsburg Fish and Game Club began what is nationally known as the longest running canoe competition. Every year the Derby has become the spring thing to do for both paddlers and spectators. At first it was a one-day eight-mile downriver race. That first year there were 44 entrants and 25 craft on the river.
